Popular Colors for Autumn 1921
This helpful chart comes from the September 1921 issue of Inspirations, a very slim little magazine put out by the Woman's Institute in Scranton, Pennsylvania. The question and answer that prompted this chart:

"What colors will be popular for fall wear? I shall appreciate a general description of these colors in order that I may become familiar with them." P.B.
Answer: "The accompanying list of colors taken from the fall season color card of America issued by the Textile Color Card Association of the United States, Inc., will undoubtedly prove of help and interest to you as well as to all Woman's Institute students.
"With each color is given a number of four figures, which express as nearly as possible the character of the color according to the following scheme: (see the next scan for details)
